Supplements

All insurance companies that offer Medicare Supplements for Plans A through J must have the same coverage for each plan. The main difference is the cost of the insurance and the service you receive from your agent. Medicare coverage consists of Part A, B, C and D.

Plan A offers only the basic benefits. There's no coverage for the Part A deductible of $1024 and Part B annual deductible of $135. Medicare pays for the first 20 days of skilled nursing care only. They do not pay for the first three pints of blood, but the supplements pays for this benefit.

Medicare supplements Plan F coverage pays for expenses not covered by Medicare.
